Exciting news for 2020 - we’ve partnered with digital product development specialist Potato and game developer Tiny Rebel Games, as well as our research partner University of South Wales, to launch ‘Fictioneers’, an independent consortium made up of three creative partners
Fictioneers is a unique, first-of-its-kind creative technology venture, conceived with the aim of pushing the boundaries for cutting-edge augmented reality and immersive storytelling projects within the UK.
In April 2019, Fictioneers was selected by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to be part of the Audience of the Future program (a key part of the Government’s Creative Industries Sector Deal announced in March 2018) and has been awarded a multimillion-pound R&D grant to explore and pioneer cutting-edge immersive experiences. Working with our first client partner, animation house Aardman, Fictioneers is about to launch its inaugural project, ‘The Big Fix Up’, a world-first augmented and mixed reality experience to hit the streets of Bristol in October 2020.
This all-new Wallace and Gromit story allows users to delve right into the action, as they join the Nation’s favourite duo on their adventure. It’s an interactive journey of both physical and digital experiences that play out in the real world around them, through the ‘window’ of their smartphone.
